Meet Lizzie

|
This is the sixth beginning to this bio that I have written. I am finding it more difficult than I had expected. In truth, I’m just not sure what kind of information to give you. So here it goes in no particular order.

Okay, that’s not completely true. The first two things have a definite order. First, I am married to the most wonderful man on earth and have been over 10 years. This comes first and foremost because I do truly believe that marriage is sacred.

The second is that I am a mother of three. I have a 7 year old daughter, Marie, who is an enormous help. I also have a 4 year old son, Braden. Imagine that you took enough energy and personality to fill a football stadium and crammed it into a little 3 ½ foot body. That’s Braden. Lastly, there’s my 21 month old, Nate. He’s my bear. And by bear I mean either grizzly or teddy bear. It all depends on the moment.

I am very religious. I grew up in a religious home and I have so much gratitude for my parents (step-mom included!) for teaching me about Jesus Christ and about his Gospel. It is the most precious gift that I have ever been given.

I met Mamma Mia in college when we were assigned to the same dorm our freshman year. That was 14 years (oh my gosh, 14 years!) ago. She is the dearest friend I have ever had. I have never met Tallulah but think we would get along fabulously! (I’m an avid reader, too.)

My job is a huge part of my life. I teach English in a junior high. That’s right, teenagers! People think that sounds scary. I actually love it (most of the time). The truth is, with teenagers, nothing is ever dull. I am NEVER EVER bored at work. Frustrated, tired, stressed, yes. Bored? NEVER.

Why Lizzie? As cliché as it might be, I absolutely love Pride and Prejudice. I’m not typically a sappy person and I really hate most romance novels. But seriously, P&P may be the most perfect love story EVER.

I procrastinate to a fault. (That’s why I put this off until the first day of the month.) I also have a very short attention span. That means I have a variety of unfinished projects around my house: quilts, scrapbooks, teach-yourself guitar and Russian books. I’m pretty much interested in anything and everything for an entire month and a half.

I absolutely love being outdoors in spring, summer, and fall. (Notice anything missing?) My idea of a perfect day is to lie out in the sun and read a book. Of course, there would a nap in there somewhere and definitely a cool Diet Coke.

And with that, I think I’ll end. The backyard is calling. Oh, no wait. That’s my 4 year old.

Welcome!!! I am so happy you are here! And after reading your oak tree experience...let me set the record straight - you are now officially the best blogger in blogging history. Unless of course you stop blogging here, then I take it back! LOL
