Even though some things break the branches or make leaves fall off prematurely; when we compare ourselves to the oak tree proudly we still stand! We are filled with life in the spring with the new green and Gooden in the fall and in the winter we rest with a blanket of snow. In the summer we shine in the sun. Through everything we are covered with God's feathers and folded in His wings!psalms 91.4Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6014476407963030963.post-20336862604632071442013-04-26T09:55:15.894-06:002013-04-26T09:55:15.894-06:00Beautiful! Some are like Spring storms, there but a short while and gone as quickly as they arrived. Others are hurricanes; some stronger, some weaker, but those too, pass soon enough. Leaving us to hitch up, clean up and start anew.
Other of life's storms can blow long and blow hard. Leaving us to tax our strengths down to the very core of ourselves. These are the storms which cause us to look to our very roots for survival. To find and rely upon new strengths. To find "new normals". The greatest beauty lies in recognizing that we ARE strong, we ARE survivors and we will not focus upon the winds and the damage, but instead, focus upon our spirits and our strengths as they evolve and serve us ever well. As life is about the journey and not the destination, may we all be MIGHTY OAKS! Finding laughter, joy and yes, even peace, amidst the strongest of storms.
Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
